The Plains of Forever

Something so precious as life should never be squandered.
Yet we take even the most simple things for granted.
Time marches on and we stand here atop this mountain of pain,
We silently weep about our problems and do nothing about them.
When will we learn that peace and war are two arms of the same being?
And love and hate both spring from the well of the human heart and mind.
Knowledge can only take us so far on this journey,
Moving heaven and earth to find out that the path ahead is set in stone.
So let wisdom lead the way to the plains of forever.
