Stuck

Today, I am useless;
Stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Unable to console,
Or to offer solace, tears flow and
I stand,
Legs unmoving as if bound by chains,
Cemented to a spot, a place,
Where pain enters life and works it dire will.
I refuse to let this pull down what has been built,
Will not let the walls crumble around us all.
We stand tall and confident
Against the coming maelstrom,
And rebuff its gale.
We will weather this storm.
